There are many choices that you can make for your Terrain. It’s helpful to look at the bonuses and negatives you get from the different race and class you chose. Each Terrain has Positive or Negative percentages for different categories. For example, if you choose the Mountains Terrain, you will have +25% defenses but at the same time, your speed is negative 40%! If you want to make quick attacks, especially right out of newbie mode, this won’t be a good terrain to have.

 The important thing to remember when it comes to Terrain is that throughout the game you will receive different economic bonuses through your Arkane Tree (which is your research) and also through magic items obtained from monsters.
